Welcome Home Rivers

Last night, we gathered at the airport to welcome home Rivers, a new friend from China. Anna wanted to give Rivers something, so she put some Wang-Wang crackers and a toy from a happy meal into a box held by one of her stuffed animals (a dog). Anna said she wanted Rivers to have a dog and said that she picked out the crackers because she really liked them when she was a little baby coming home from China. She thought that Rivers would like them, too.

Anna, along with several friends, waited eagerly to catch a glimpse of Brooke, Summer, Lily, and their newest little sister (Rivers).

When Rivers and her family finally entered the airport terminal, Anna gave the present to Rivers' sister to give to her because she thought Rivers might be a little shy about children she didn't know yet. Anna felt so happy when Rivers began eating the crackers. On the way out, Anna talked about when she was a baby and came home from China on the airplane.
