We had a play-date with some FCC friends at a local independent school. The school's kindergarten teacher, along with the Mandarin language teacher and her high school students, sponsored the event for us. The children got to trace around their bodies, then label the parts in English and Mandarin. There was singing in Mandarin, a multicultural puppet show, and decorating cookies. The children learned the sign language to the song
"You and Me," sung at the opening of the Beijing Olympics. The lyrics (sung in Chinese and in English) are:

Really nice event! Did I mention that the kindergarten had a rabbit named Henrietta?
