Corn Harvest!

Anna and Grandpa picked the corn and husked it! The ears were small since the soil was mostly clay and the plants did not get much sun, but they were a tasty part of Sunday lunch.

Growing Corn Part 5

The corn is almost ready to pick. Grandpa explained to Anna how the pollen that grows on top of the plant falls on the corn silk where the leaves meet the stem and makes the ear of corn grow.





























Father's Day

We took Grandpa out to eat at the local Vietnamese restaurant (one of his favorites) for father's day.

Ready for Water Day!

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Fridays are water days at the pre-school. There are wading pools set up on the playground, buckets, hoses, cups, and all the fun a gal could want with friends on a hot summer day.
