Anna and I went to a reception in celebration of Linda A's 80th birthday. Mrs. A. is an icon in the field of public education in this state, and was my supervising teacher when I was a young student teacher in the spring of 1985. She has "looked after" me ever since. I am grateful for her mentorship and her friendship.
